What We Know About The Guitar Wall Hanger

The guitar wall hanger is one of the most overlooked pieces of musical equipment. Yet, a guitar wall hanger is easy to acquire, doesn't cost much, and has some very good benefits to offer to the guitar player.

Now, why might you want a guitar wall hanger? I mean, even if they are inexpensive, after you start buying them their costs add up, right? Don't you have enough storage space for your instruments as it is? If you have them kept in a room and they aren't hanging out the windows, isn't that space enough? Perhaps. But, if you're a serious guitar collector or musician, and you start gathering three or four or more guitars, you start seeing how much they can clutter up a place. And there are several bad things about musical instrument clutter.

If you have guitar or bass clutter, it's pretty easy for you to accidentally kick an instrument, step on an instrument, or spill stuff on an instrument. That's not good at all, as one momentary slip could cost you hundreds of dollars. You may also trip and fall, and hurt yourself. And of course, if you trip and fall over an instrument and hurt yourself, you may get mad enough to kick it or slam it on purpose. Once you have enough guitar or bass clutter going on, you may even discover that it's getting harder to find the instrument you want.

All in all, guitars all over the place doesn't look cool. It looks sloppy. It's just cool that you have those guitars.

Alright, you say, well, I can just prop my guitar up against the wall or against my amp. Bad move. You surely know how easy it is for the slightest vibration to knock that thing over, possibly marring or breaking it. And I hope you don't have any pets, or children, that like to roam through the house.

Fine, fine, you say. Then why don't I buy guitar stands for my instruments? You can do that, and it's not a bad idea. However, guitar stands are more expensive than guitar wall hangers, and they are also much more suited to the stage setting. They take up more space than guitar wall hangers, and they keep the guitars lower to the ground, once again leaving them susceptible to spills, accidental kicks, pets, and children.

With a guitar wall hanger, you save money as compared to the guitar stand. Then there is the fact that you can mount the wall hanger as high up as you need to to keep your precious instruments out of reach and as much out of harm's way as is feasible.

Guitars that are hung up on you wall are also easier to spatially organize and show off for people. When you go to a guitar shop, you see guitar after guitar hung up in a row, each on a guitar wall hanger. Those shops know that there's no more convenient, inexpensive way to protect and display your instruments.
